One important limitation is that editing replaces the previous answer. The original version cannot be recovered afterwards, so this feature is best suited to workflows where keeping the latest submitted information is the priority.

When Response Editing Is Useful

Correct Employee or Applicant Information

An applicant may enter the wrong contact number, or an employee may need to update information after submitting an internal form. Within an employee survey solution, an Edit Response Link lets them correct the existing submission instead of creating a second record.

Update an Event Registration

Attendee information can change after registration. When using an event registration form, respondents can return to their original submission and update details such as contact or organisation information without registering again.

Choose How to Share the Edit Link
