How to add score to your online test?

Scoring is useful for more than marking correct and incorrect quiz answers.

With Calculations in Porsline, you can assign values to responses, calculate final test scores, measure performance indicators and determine totals inside forms.

Use Calculations Beyond Simple Quiz Scores

A calculation can represent different types of values depending on your project.

You may use it to calculate:

When you create an online quiz  or assessment, each correct answer can contribute a different number of points to the respondent’s final score.

You can also use scoring for recruitment tests, training evaluations and employee assessments where different responses represent different performance levels.

Calculations are available in Porsline Pro and Enterprise, while Enterprise also supports Calculated Variables for workflows that require several independent formulas.

Use Calculations in Orders and Value-Based Forms

Calculations can also support forms where answers represent prices or quantities.

For example, a customer may select an item, enter the quantity required and receive a calculated total before continuing to payment.

This allows the same calculation concept used for quiz scores to support order forms, registrations and other value-based workflows.

Create Different Paths Based on the Final Score

A calculated score can also influence what the respondent sees next.

For example, an internal assessment may contain Basic and Advanced sections. Respondents who achieve the required score can continue to the Advanced section, while others can be directed to a different End Page.

This combines Calculations with Logic to create a form experience that reacts to the respondent’s performance.

Review Calculated Results in Porsline

After respondents submit their answers, you can review the final score for each submission in the Results Table.

The Charts section can also help you understand overall score patterns through indicators such as averages and standard deviations.
