How Porsline Works?
Learn how to create a survey or form, customise the respondent experience, share it and analyse responses in one connected workflow.
Creating a professional survey or form should not require coding or a complicated setup process.
In this video, we show you how the main Porsline workflow works—from choosing a template and adding your questions to customising the design, sharing your survey and reviewing the collected responses.
You will also see how to manage settings, embed a form into your website and use reports to turn responses into useful information.
Start with a Template or Build from Scratch
After signing in to your Porsline account, you can begin in one of two ways.
You can explore our ready-made survey templates and customise one for your project, or create a new survey from scratch when you need complete control over its structure.
To start a new project:
- Select Create New Survey.
- Enter a name for your survey or form.
- Continue to the Create phase.
- Add the questions needed for your project.
Starting with a clear objective will help you decide which questions to include and which settings you actually need.
Add and Organise Your Questions
In the Create phase, you can select from the available question types and add them to your survey using drag and drop.
When working on a mobile device, select the plus icon to open the question list, choose the question type and place it in the required position.
Your questions should follow a clear order. Begin with simple introductory questions, continue with the main topic and keep sensitive or demographic questions until later when appropriate.
You can also add a welcome screen to explain the purpose of the survey before respondents begin.
Shape the Respondent Experience
Once your questions are ready, move to the Design phase.
Here, you can choose a ready-made theme or customise the visual presentation to reflect your organisation’s identity. You can adjust elements such as:
- Background images
- Fonts
- Text sizes
- Colours
- Survey layout
You can also create one or more End Pages to control what respondents see after submitting their answers.
A clear and consistent design helps respondents understand the survey and complete it with fewer distractions.

Configure How Your Survey Works
In the Settings phase, you can control how respondents access and complete your survey.
Depending on the requirements of your project, you can configure options such as:
- Survey name and general information
- Response start and closing dates
- Scoring for quizzes and assessments
- Email or SMS notifications
- Response controls
- Survey availability
You do not need to enable every setting. Choose only the options that support the objective of your form, survey or quiz.
Before activation, use Preview to check the questions, design and respondent journey.
Share Your Survey with the Right Audience
Your survey must be activated before respondents can submit answers.
Once it is active, you can share it using the available distribution options, including:
- A direct survey link
- Messaging applications
- Social media
- SMS
- Website or application embeds
You can also embed the form as a pop-up, button, slider or side tab, depending on how you want it to appear on your website or application.
Choose your sharing method based on where your intended audience is most likely to see and complete the survey.
Turn Collected Responses into Useful Insights
As respondents submit their answers, you can review the collected data in the Results section.
The Results Table displays each submission in a separate row, giving you access to the raw response data. You can also export the collected results to Excel for further review or analysis.
In the Charts section, you can explore visual summaries such as bar charts and pie charts, along with descriptive indicators including the mean and standard deviation where applicable.
For more focused analysis, you can use filters to examine specific groups of responses. Our tutorial on the advanced reporting tool explains how to create targeted report views and share relevant findings with other stakeholders.
